SUMMARY:2021 Idaho Opioid Misuse & Overdose Strategic Plan Annual Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The Idaho Opioid Misuse & Overdose Workgroup is a multifaceted group of stakeholders deeply concerned and committed to reducing the burden of the opioid crisis in Idaho. The Idaho Opioid Misuse & Overdose Strategic Plan is the guiding document for the Workgroup and identifies four key goal areas to address the epidemic in a comprehensive\, multi-faceted approach to support the plan’s 2022 vision of “A safe and healthy Idaho\, free of opioid misuse and untreated opioid use disorders.” You can learn more about the Workgroup and Strategic Plan here. \nEach year the Workgroup convenes at an Annual Retreat to review the progress\, successes\, and challenges of the past year and update the Strategic Plan for the year ahead. You can review the 2020 Update for the Idaho Opioid Misuse & Overdose Strategic Plan here. \nThe 2021 Annual Retreat will take place on April 27 & 28\, 2021. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic\, this year’s retreat will be held virtually. \nDay one of the Retreat on April 27 is only open to current Workgroup members. Earn prizes\, connect with colleagues\, and earn 24 continuing education hours! \nKeynote speakers include: \n\nDr. Jaime Brower\, Psy.D\, ABPP will present live on the topics “Morale & Resiliency\,” “Trauma in the Workplace\,” and “Communication/De-Escalation” (Tuesday\, May 25).\nEric Martin\, MAC\, CADC III\, PRC\, CPS will present live on “Contemporary Trends in Drug Use\, Addiction\, & Treatment” (Monday\, May 24)\, as well as a pre-recorded session on “Ethics: Sexual Violations & Sex-Positive Supervision.”\nRoy Huggins\, LPC\, NCC will present live on “Teletherapy Standards and Practice Refresher for Covid-19 and Beyond” (Monday\, May 24).\n\nLive sessions will be on-demand from Wed.\, May 26 – Tues.\, June 8. All other sessions will be on-demand from Mon.\, May 24 – Tues.\, June 8\, allowing attendees time to earn the full 24 CEUs. \nYour CE certificates will be sent to the email address you used to register with ICADD\, no later than June 22\, 2021.
