THURSDAY SESSIONS INCLUDE:
- Risk Factors for Alcohol Use and Web-Based Individual and Parent-Based Prevention Strategies(9 am – 12 noon). Dr. Diana Doumas and Dr. Robin Hausheer. In this session, participants will learn about individual and parent risk factors for adolescent alcohol use and low-cost, easy to disseminate online prevention programming. - Neuro-Based Resiliency and Substance Use Prevention (1 pm – 4 pm). Dr. Raissa Miller and Dr. Michael Russo. In this session, participants will learn about neuroscience-informed frameworks of resilience and the relationship between resiliency and substance misuse prevention. FRIDAY SESSIONS INCLUDE:
- Adverse Childhood Experiences and Resiliency (9 am – 12 pm). Dr. Susan Esp. In this session, participants will learn about adverse childhood experiences, resiliency, and their relationship to the prevention of substance misuse. - Ethics in Prevention(1 pm – 4 pm). Leah Kalk. In this session, participants will learn about ethical issues specific to prevention. Maps to CPS Domain: Professional Growth & Development/Ethics
